Placeholders

Hey, please don't make placeholder pages - just link to them normally and create when you're ready. Nothing wrong with red links... — ceejayoz talk 17:11, 26 November 2006 (MST)

DoW Guide templates

Hey, when you create a new guide page, please add {{DoW Player Guide header}} to the top and {{DoW Player Guide}} at the bottom. Cheers! — ceejayoz talk 19:53, 26 November 2006 (MST)

Icons

How do you get the icons you upload to such a small size? I use photo shop to turn it into a jpg and use the lowest quality settings but the best I can get it to is 12k - briscoe

Space Marines Completed

Well they 99%, the only things that aren't in there are the stun effects from the hammers, and im not really sure if I got the healing aura data quite right since on the forums they say the chappy has a double aura, in which the inner aura is more powerful. But for the life of me I looked at the lua's and can't find it. But beyond those two things, space marines are super done.

Clearing

If you ever find yourself inserting HTML into an article, you should stop and consider whether you really should be. Usually there is wiki markup or a template that does what you're trying to do. If you really need to clear all content before displaying the next section, you should use Template:- by inserting {{-}} into the page. This template includes the correct clearing code for an XHTML document -- in the code that you inserted, you forgot the closing / character. However, I believe that clearing on the article Mine Field (Imperial Guard) just forces scrolling to reach other content unnecessarily. Bilgetalk done 14:48, 13 April 2007 (MDT)

Thanks

Nice catch with that spambot. — ceejayoz talk 18:44, 15 May 2007 (MDT)

FYI, ceejayoz put you in the sysops category. This means you can block abusive users, though I'm unsure of the details. Morifen

Thanks

Thanks for telling me that. Tesfan 20:50, 13 July 2007 (MDT)

Extracting Images

In response to your third edit on my talk page, yes how do you extract directly from game files? But something else is bothering me. Where did you find the wargear modifiers for Eliphas? I've been using Corsix's mod tool to look through game data and I could not find them anywhere. Thanks, Cold Crusader 09:07, 11 August 2007 (MDT)

Contact

Hey, I'm totally new to this and i have no idea what I'm doing, so when i screw up i apologize in advance. I just have one question that I'm dying to figure out and I haven't been able to find any info on it anywhere. Can anyone tell me what the accuracy reduction is for the Eldar Seer Council's melee damage when using Fleet of Foot (and if it makes a difference whether or not the Farseer is attached)? This is when using DoW: Dark Crusade patch 1.2 I think. If there is anyone I should contact or talk to specifically I'd be glad to do it. -thanks

DPS values

Hey there ... thanks for catching the DPS errors. The script I'm using wasn't swapping out min_damage_value if the calculated amount was lower.

Cheers!

Air Unit Identification

Your recent comment about air_dps values and it being only an armor type (don't know how that got by me, I've been conscious of it on other occasions) got me thinking - we don't have any way to identify units as 'Air Units' outside of armor type. Case in point - the Marauder Bomber - the only air unit up right now. Nowhere on the page is it explicitly identified as an air unit, other than it having the air armor type. Since modders can make planes with any armor type, we need an explicit air/ground identifier for units. Probably wouldn't hurt to have identifiers for weapons to say whether they can attack air and/or ground units. RexOmniaLupus 11:16, 12 March 2008 (MDT)

Defunct Categories

I updated the help info for Template:DoW Unit Infobox to reflect the nomenclature change from Monster to Daemon. You may want to delete the now-defunct Category:DoW Armour Class Monster High and Category:DoW Armour Class Monster Medium which I created based on the old nomenclature scheme. Space Marine Squad Plasma Gun Range

I checked the Plasma Gun range for Soulstorm 1.2 Space Marine Squad with Corsix's Mod Studio and it's 25, not 30. You can check yourself to confirm. The Scout Squad does have it at 30 though.
