Tortured Slave

"No! Not the whip!"

These unfortunate souls, mostly humans captured during Dark Eldar raids, are utilized as builders once their masters tire of tormenting them. Sent out into battlefields hobbled and chained, Tortured Slaves plant Warp spire pods to start building construction. This allows the Dark Eldar structures to essentially build themselves, freeing the Tortured Slave to quickly begin other fortifications.

Tactics

The Tortured Slave is unique among builders in that it only needs to start a building's construction. At the start of the game quickly place all structures you wish built, thus allowing them all to build simultaneously and give you a head start. You can also save resources by refraining from purchasing additional builders until you have upgraded Slave Chambers producing souls to harvest. Always keep Tortured Slaves harvesting souls when they are not placing buildings or repairing vehicles and structures.

Effects	Repair vehicles and buildings at a rate of 30 HP per second. Up to three Slaves can repair the same vehicle or building at once.

Effects	The Slave initiates construction of Dark Eldar structures, summoning them onto the battlefield. Unlike other builders, Slaves just have to start the building and it will build itself to completion and the Slave is not tied up by the construction. However, this makes for constant build times, and no benefit is gained from trying to have multiple builders construct a building.

Harvest Soul Essence

Effects	The unit moves to the nearest deposit of Soul Essence in range and starts harvesting it. This provides Soul resource to the Dark Eldar player. A Tortured Slave can only harvest 24 from a single deposit, while a Talos can harvest 64 from a single deposit. Soul Essence is used to cast the Dark Eldar Soul Powers.
