frstkor13 was a founder of the Freelance armada and an occasional Relic Forums poster and former moderator. At his peak in Homeworld he was one of the most skilled players in the game and was a master of the default map Talas Crossroads. He was and is however an admitted hothead and sore loser, and his hate of being defeated apparently assisted him in his drive to become one of the best. (more...)through 31 July 2006
The Red Flashy Thing or RFT made an appearance in the site designs of Taiidan.co.uk and The Guidestone and became something of an in-joke. Originally designed by OneRedPanther for his website Taiidan.co.uk in late 2000, it was stolen in a midnight raid by Guidestone staff for their own use. Its eternal double flash gave rise to the enduring #homeworld meme *Flash* *Flash*. There is some evidence to suggest that the RFT may be a mind-control device. (more...)through 12 July 2006
The Community Game was a community project initiated by Dyntheos, and was soon taken over by Retroboy after his backstory submission emerged victorious from the genre voting. The underlying idea was to create the concept (and possibly the assets) for a computer game from the talents of the Relic Community. (more...)through 27 June 2006
The Homeworld universe has never had a serious merchandising effort, leaving players wanting models of their favorite ships to their own devices. A few fans created hand-built models out of wood, plastic, or even Lego blocks, but no models were ever produced that could be easily obtained by the average fan. This all changed on 5 July 2003 when paper starships were discovered. (more...)through 18 June 2006
Freelance is a close-knit group of friends who met playing Homeworld. They are widely regarded as one of the most skilled groups to have played the game. For a time, Freelance maintained The Guidestone's strategy section, as well as posting heavily in the Relic Forums Homeworld strategy discussions. Several Freelance members were at one time (or still are) moderators on the Relic Forums. (more...)through 15 June 2006
The British Empire Reclamation Force - or BERF, as it is more commonly referred to - was created in order to return the guiding light of Her Majesty's reign to those renegade colonies which have seen fit to desert the Motherland. Avid teadrinking is a requirement of membership. (more...)through 8 June 2006
Marweas (or Alex Rodberg) was the community manager assigned to the Relic Community by Sierra Entertainment. On 29 August 2003, Marweas posted in the Relic Forums that he would no longer be interacting with the community, saying "the effort put into keeping this miniscule community informed is not worth the aggravation or the time".[1] (more...)through 6 June 2006
Molle (aka SirMolle) was the owner and administrator of The Guidestone fansite. He now basically runs EVE Online. A prolonged absence from the internet led to rumors of him being stuck under a fridge, a term that is henceforth associated with him, and has spawned a smiley on the Relic Forums. He is an avid ABBA fan, and many believe him to be among the best Homeworld players of all time. (more...)through 4 June 2006:
RelicUniverse (formerly Homeworld Universe, Homeworld X, and Homeworld Fleet Command) was a Relic fansite that closed its doors in 2005. At its closing, RelicUniverse was administered by ceejayoz, dmille, and Sabin. (more...)
