NHC

NHC is an acronym for No Humour Corporation (chiefly British). The term was originally coined by AAP to refer to other clan members that seemed to be oblivious to jokes or generally acted too seriously. It has seen most usage by both Fitz and Mecha and eventually the regulars of the renegade #hw:c channel in the Austnet IRC days.

It also found a new application in the game of EVE, and was widely used by TAOSP members.

Frequent recipients of the NHC tag have often been prominent Relic Forums or IRC admins and members like dmille, Athexx, Dyntheos. It has also commonly been applied to anyone belonging to the BDU clan, such as Targeter.

Mecha - The first time I saw AAP use the term was the day after a bunch of us had been smurfing as AAP with different clan tags, including AAP[BDU]. The BDU and SunFire (aka SunFizzle) in particular didn't see the funny side and had been sending angry messages to AAP. They were pretty much the definition of NHC.
