Laura, was one of the elusive and rare female members of the forums, but more commonly encountered in IRC.

Popularity

Due to a lack of females on the Relic Boards (and subsequently IRC) Laura was a focus for the pent-up frustration of many males in the community. Consequently she often reacted (and over-reacted) with emotes which were comically violent, to the eventual irritation of the channel ops and channel admins.
