Heavy Machine Gun Team
From RelicWiki
This article refers to a squad from the game Company of Heroes
The allied MG squad is highly effective against infantry that run into its line of fire. Its fire has a suppression effect, and any infantry caught in it will be pinned. The squad can also use armor piercing rounds for a munitions cost, which makes it effective against light vehicles.

Build Time: 3
MP cost: 240
Upgrades: None
Abilities: Armor Piercing Burst
Good VS: Infantry and Light Vehicles
Uses
Highly useful when garrisoned in a building or a bunker. With the cover of a building, they become very resistant to enemy infantry fire but can still fire themselves. Can also be used for mobile defense and suppression against enemy infantry. While the AP burst may damage vehicles, it can't be used in a building. This means you have to be outside of a building, and therefore vulnerable to the vehicles fire. It is best to use this only when the vehicles attention is focused elsewhere, because a vehicle will be able to trash your MG team very quickly, or just drive behind you. A single AP burst won't kill an armored car, but it will severely damage it.
Counters
Snipers. Snipers can kill an MG team from range with little or no danger of retaliation.
Armored Vehicles. If the MG team is garrisoned, they can't use the AP burst. This means armored cars and tanks can kill them with ease.
Mortar teams. Mortars can kill them from range, although this may take awhile.
Grenades. Grenades are highly effective against MG teams outside a building and somewhat effective against MG teams inside a building.
Blind Spots. Blind spots are places on a building MG teams can't fire on, because there is no window. You can park something with guns in a place like this and fire until they are killed.
Getting out of their arc of fire. If they are not in a building, and you're able to get behind them, they will be forced to disassemble/assemble their MG and turn around. This can buy you time, and with fast infantry, you can keep running behind them until they are dead. This works with vehicles, too.
