CoH Allied Veterancy Upgrades

Allied units gain veterancy from delivering killing blows to enemy units. Destroying powerful units will a lot of veterancy. Destroying weak units will slowly gain veterancy. There are 3 ranks of veterancy, and each one will give your unit or squad an upgrade of some sort. Usually something like more speed, more damage, or more hit points. This is one reason why it is important to build a Triage Center. Even if only one member of a squad is left alive, reinforcing it will still give the additional units the level of veterancy they your original unit had before. Keeping your units alive is very important, because Axis doesn't have to earn veterancy, they buy it. If you only have fresh units on the field, chances are veteran axis units will walk all over you.
