7th Rank

The 7th Rank (or 7th) was a secretive group of skilled Homeworld players. Due to the relatively high number of 7th members serving as moderators on the Relic Forums, conspiracy theories arose.

The 7th Rank won the Homeworld beta 2 tournament.

Name

The name "7th Rank" is an apparent reference to the game of chess, in which a player's 7th rank corresponds to the enemy's line of pawns.

A Flash animation was once posted on the Relic Forums to advertise the 7th Rank's return to the Relic Community.

For some time, a partially-completed 7th website was hosted by Relicnews, apparently as a strategy offering similar to the cooperation between The Guidestone and the Freelance armada.
